Water Girl.

I am on the football team.

Okay... I don't actually play for the team but I am the team manager... Aka the water girl.
Now some people may say, "Doesn't that suck?" Well it has its pro's and con's lets weigh ehm out.

The con(s):
  • Super time consuming; I have to go to practices Tues and wed from 3-6 on Thursdays soph and jv have a game and that takes me out of school at around 1 and doesn't get me home till 9. And then varsity on Friday which is 5:30-9 so yes alot of my time is spent with that.
  • I've never heard so many swears in my life.
  • When the boys lose its like PMS central.

Pros:
  • The men, super attractive, they've gotten to know me better as a person.
  • This is kinda shallow sounding but yes my popularity, I feel, has sky rocketed.
  • I get to be on the field up close.
  • the bus rides are hecka fun.

Some funny things that happen to me from this is that I've realized the men would probably die without the water girls.

Exhibit A: Austin, yelling to his parents for Ibuprofen but they cannot hear him over the crowd. I come out of nowhere and say I have some in my bag which I give to him. He praises me and walks away.

Exhibit B: A time out is called in which the water girls have to rush over to the boys who are now being coached by the coach and being told what to do next as us water girls hand water to the boys. Bryson, number 5, frantically yells, "I need someone to tie my shoe!" I kneel down and tie his shoe. He graciously says thank you and how much he appreciates us and once again more praising before running out onto the field.

Yes... The men do smell.
Yes... If we lose the men are so grumpy its often annoying
Yes... Some boys whom I would never expect to swear drop a bomb sometimes...

...But I love it.
It's an experience that I can now take with me.

But seriously..
I deserve an Emmy.
